The 25th Ifva Awards – Media Art Open Call

Starting from 1995, ifva has been actively promoting different visual cultures and creative media across the Asia. The ifva Awards is an annual competition calling entries from both local and Asian artists who are making short films, videos, animation and media artworks.

“Media Arts Category” was introduced in 2005 (formerly called Interactive Media Category) and it is the only competition platform in Hong Kong for media arts ranging from digital art, sound art, and computer games to interactive installations. Jeffrey Shaw, Lars Nittve, Maurice Benayoun were involved in the Media Art Category jury panel. Subsidy will be provided to Asian finalists to visit Hong Kong in February to March 2020 and exhibit their works with local finalists during “The 25th ifva Festival”.
